Since my car shall be green-themed I obviously need as much light as I can get.
Footwell lighting seemed like a good idea at the time. A well-written DIY I got again from e60-forum.de should help me with that.
As you can see in the picture, the green LEDs came in later. Since the lighting-kit came with regular bulbs preinstalled I didn’t wait up and went ahead. Exchanging them is no issue and done within 2 minutes.
The installation, however, took me about 4 hours. It really involves a lot of crawling into spaces you don’t wanna crawl, pulling, pushing and moving things you didn’t think could be moved (and those things share that opinion). Most of the time I acutally wasted on stuff I didn’t think could be done, but in fact could be – I just needed to use some more force or sometimes a little finess. Which to use when wasn’t clear, though.
